    Inside Sales Representative - Full Time

  • The Inside Sales representative is the “face of AirBoss Defense” to customers, potential customers, and organizations with whom AirBoss Defense conducts business. The Inside Sales Representative works closely with the Business Development Team, the production team and various vendors and OEMs to ensure smooth and accurate response to, and delivery on, customer requirements.


  • Marketing materials: (work with Engineering to gather current product information to update/ create spec/data sheets, product catalog)
  • Maintain Product Photo Files and Capability Briefs
  • Maintain the Shared Drive - Sales & Marketing public folder updated with current Product information
  • Assist with advertisements; making sure that we do not miss deadlines with graphics/marketing/advertising vendors
  • Manage event list that ABD is participating throughout the year
  • Assist the BD Team in managing equipment needed for various trade shows/events (transportation/shipping to different shows, ATA Carnet, export licenses)
  • Assist with marketing material: promotional items, spec sheets, tri-fold
  • Assist with association’s registration (NDIA, CADSI, NGAUS, etc.)
  • Respond to small RFQ, RFI, etc. Leads
  • Work with the customer and engineering on Custom Quote requests
  • Complete Custom/Standard Quotes (Paper Quotes, EPICOR, Sales Force, and online)
  • Prepare Final quote and bid submissions as required
  • Respond to Website “Contact Us” Inquiries/Requests
  • Coordinate with the customer any necessary ITAR/EC export paperwork, then submit/file the application with the applicable entity (Dept. of State or Dept. of Commerce)
  • Support primary inside sales in maintaining the price list in coordination with contracting, finance and the company leadership
  • Create and maintain Costing Sheets, when required
  • Maintain and follow-up on Quotes
  • Weekly calls for Customer Satisfaction surveys (minimum 5, required under our ISO process)
  • Participate in daily Production/Sales Meetings
  • Back-up for answering phones
  • Set-up employees with Eugenia (online travel booking tool)
  • Customer Service Support
  • Receive and place all orders/PO’s
  • Review and mark awarded contracts for any special requirements (billing, packaging, shipping, etc.)
  • Verify orders for correctness of part number, price, terms, shipping, bill to, ship to, and delivery date
  • Prepare daily the open/new order reports
  • Create and maintain customer files, sales orders, internal work orders, and RMA files
  • Issue and process all returns (RMA)
  • Provide customer order acknowledgements, invoices/packing slips, shipment tracking information
  • Assist with expedited shipments, order changes, product information
  • Work with customers to best resolve their concerns and complaints


  • US Citizenship
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales/contracting
  • Demonstrated experience with the US Department of Defense acquisitions system
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English to include technical writing
  • Ability to exercise self-supervision, follow verbal instructions, function in a team environment, and communicate efficiently at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite software, especially Access
  • Excellent writing skills and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with ERP or MRP a plus
  • Initiative and ability to work under pressure
